Maya Patrich is an Argentinian-Canadian illustrator, animator, and production coordinator based in the unceded, ancestral, and occupied traditional lands of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Watuth Nations.
Specializing in visual storytelling through illustrations and animations, Maya's work aims to evoke a sense of whimsy and darkness in character-driven narratives. Their interests encompass background design, character design, and storytelling.
Maya recently completed her Bachelor of Media Arts with a focus on 2D + Experimental Animation at Emily Carr University of Art + Design, where they were honoured with a foundation scholarship.
Their award-winning animated work has been showcased at numerous international venues, including the Ottawa International Animation Festival,  The Canlandıranlar Animation Film Festival and the Linoleum Contemporary Animation and Media Art Festival.
When they're not drawing, you can find them baking a burnt basque cheesecake or stuffing their face with said cheesecake.
